Who the FeynLab Ceramic package is for
This is the package we point lease customers to, and it fits anyone in a similar position: you want the paint protected and easy to keep clean while you have the car, without going for the multi-layer packages.
You get one layer of FeynLab Ceramic on all exterior painted surfaces and one layer of FeynLab Plastic on all plastics and trim. That second part matters on modern cars, where there is a lot of black trim around the windows, bumpers and mirrors, and it rarely gets any protection at all. The result is good gloss and slickness with strong water beading, so dirt has a harder time sticking.
It is a single layer of coating on the paint. If your car sits outside all year and faces every Michigan winter, a package with more layers, like Ceramic Ultra or Heal Lite, gives you more coating to wear through. And no coating stops rock chips. That is a job for XPEL paint protection film.
How it compares
Next to Ceramic Lite, this package uses FeynLab Ceramic in place of the Lite formula and adds the plastic and trim coating. Lite is the way to try a coating for the first time; Ceramic is the more complete version of the same idea.
Ceramic Ultra adds a Ceramic Overcoat on top of a layer of FeynLab Ceramic Ultra and coats the rims with FeynLab Plastic as well as the trim. Heal Lite and Self-Heal Plus move to FeynLab’s self-healing coatings in two and four layers and coat the wheel faces with FeynLab Wheel & Caliper.
The warranty on every package is FeynLab’s own, and FeynLab sets the terms: they require the coating to be applied by a FeynLab-authorised applicator, registered after application, and inspected once a year. Why is this package recommended for leased cars?
A leased car goes back at the end of the term. This package protects the paint and the trim and keeps the car easy to clean while you drive it, so it looks cared for when you hand it back, without the extra layers of the packages built for long-term ownership.
What does the FeynLab Plastic layer do?
It puts a coating on the exterior plastics and trim, not just the paint, so those parts are protected and as easy to clean as the rest of the car.
Can I add paint protection film as well?
Yes. XPEL paint protection film handles rock chips on the front end, and a ceramic coating can go on top of the film for extra gloss and easier washing.
