Who Self-Heal Plus is for
Self-Heal Plus is our top paint protection package. It is for the owner who plans to keep the car for the long term and wants the most coating we apply: four layers of FeynLab Heal Plus on all exterior painted and chrome surfaces, FeynLab Plastic on the exterior plastic trim and FeynLab Wheel & Caliper on the wheel faces.
Think of a new truck you intend to drive for years, a weekend car you want kept as close to showroom as possible, or a daily driver that faces every Flint and Lapeer County winter. The coating helps protect the paint against minor scratches, road salt, insect acid, tree sap, dirt and debris.
Even the top package has limits. Four layers of coating are still a coating. It will not stop a rock chip or a deep scratch, and the car still needs regular washing to look its best. If you want impact protection on the front end, ask about XPEL paint protection film together with the coating.

How it compares
Heal Lite is the closest package. It uses two layers of FeynLab Heal Lite and a Ceramic Overcoat, where Self-Heal Plus uses four layers of FeynLab Heal Plus. Both coat the plastic trim and the wheel faces.
Below those, Ceramic Ultra, the FeynLab Ceramic package and Ceramic Lite are ceramic coatings with fewer layers and without the self-healing feature. They suit leased cars, cars you may not keep long, or a first try at a coating.
Self-Heal Plus carries the longest FeynLab warranty of our packages. The warranty on every package is FeynLab’s own, and FeynLab sets the terms: they require the coating to be applied by a FeynLab-authorised applicator, registered after application, and inspected once a year. Why four layers?
More layers mean more coating on the paint to wear through over the years. On a car you plan to keep for a long time, that extra depth is the point of this package.
Is Self-Heal Plus worth it on a leased car?
Usually not. Lease customers are better matched with the FeynLab Ceramic package. Self-Heal Plus makes the most sense on a car you own and plan to keep.
Can I combine it with paint protection film?
Yes. XPEL paint protection film takes the rock chips on the front end, and a ceramic coating can go on top of the film for gloss and easier washing.
