Who Heal Lite is for
Heal Lite is the first of the two self-healing packages in our FeynLab range. It is for an owner who wants long-term protection and plans to keep the car: two layers of FeynLab Heal Lite on all exterior painted and chrome surfaces, a layer of Ceramic Overcoat on top, FeynLab Plastic on the exterior plastic trim and FeynLab Wheel & Caliper on the wheel faces.
That covers nearly everything on the outside of the car that takes dirt and weather. The coating helps protect against minor scratches, tree sap, insect acid, dirt and debris, and the hydrophobic finish means water and grime slide off, so washing takes less effort.
An honest note on self-healing. It refers to light surface marks in the coating, the kind left by washing, not deeper scratches into the paint. Like any coating, it does not stop rock chips. If chips are your worry, add XPEL paint protection film to the front end.
Optional extras: all door, hood, trunk and tailgate jambs coated, an interior coating, and a wheels off option.
How it compares
Compared with Ceramic Ultra, Heal Lite moves to FeynLab’s self-healing coating, uses two layers of it instead of one, and coats the wheel faces with FeynLab Wheel & Caliper. Ultra coats the rims with FeynLab Plastic instead.
Self-Heal Plus is the step up: four layers of FeynLab Heal Plus on the paint and chrome, with the same plastic trim and wheel face coatings. If you want the most coating we apply, that is the one. If two layers suit how you use the car, Heal Lite gives you the self-healing coating and full exterior coverage.
The warranty on every package is FeynLab’s own, and FeynLab sets the terms: they require the coating to be applied by a FeynLab-authorised applicator, registered after application, and inspected once a year. Heal Lite questions
What does self-healing mean on a coating?
It means the coating can recover from light surface marks, such as fine swirls from washing. It does not repair chips or deep scratches in the paint underneath.
Should I choose Heal Lite or Self-Heal Plus?
Both use FeynLab’s self-healing coatings and both coat the plastic trim and wheel faces. Self-Heal Plus has four layers on the paint, where Heal Lite has two layers plus a Ceramic Overcoat. For a car you plan to keep for many years, more layers give more coating to wear through.
Is the wheel coating worth having?
Wheels collect brake dust and road grime faster than any other part of the car. With FeynLab Wheel & Caliper on the wheel faces, that dirt is easier to rinse off, which makes the weekly wash a lot quicker.
