XPEL Paint Protection Film for Troy, MI Drivers
Our shop is in Otisville, about 51 miles north of Troy, so this is not a quick trip: plan on 65 to 75 minutes up I-75 and M-15. That drive makes the most sense for the bigger jobs: XPEL paint protection film, FeynLab ceramic coating, paint correction and window tint.
XPEL lists our shop on its installer locator. All work is done at the shop, by appointment, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and we do not offer mobile service. Call (810) 529-0019 to plan a drop-off.

I found Midwest paint protection three years ago when I purchased my black 15 passenger transit. My wife insisted on black and I know how hard it is to take care of. I took it to Midwest paint protection and a heal pro plus ceramic coating was recommended. After application I was stopped at multiple gas stations asking about my new van and how it looked so clean. This coating self heals and melts swirl marks away. Washing it consists of me pressure washing it and driving it home. It air drys to a mirror finish. I’ve never touched it with a towel to dry it. You can’t beat the ease of maintenance that this coating provides. Unfortunately, 2 years later my wife had a run in with a deer . After the body shop did its thing I took it back to Midwest to have the coating applied to the replacement panels and do the maintenance on the rest of the coating. I picked it up yesterday. Today I took a few of my kids to their baseball game and three people that know me well asked me if I bought a new van. I was parked next to a friend with a brand new Pacifica and my van’s paint made the new van look 3 years old. The results of Cody’s work are absolutely amazing. My 3 year old van looks better than a vehicle right off the lot. Megan made making my appointment extremely easy and she kept me updated on the progress of the work (they had to do paint correction on the newly painted panels because they didn’t look good). Don’t second guess it. Protect your investment. There is a reason that there are multiple brand new corvettes and Ferraris being picked up and dropped off at this place on a daily basis. Cody does amazing work. they will make your vehicle look better than factory new and also help you to maintain that look for years to come.Posted on Google![]()

Again another great experience with this shop here. Cody is the son of a man who has been in the business since the 80s and it sure seems like his son has got the goods himself. Thank you Cody. I came in with my wife brand new explorer that I accident hit the back hatch button rather then start button in my garage. And it was scratched and gouged and all tore up. The very next day I go pick it up. And wow. Saved me so much money and again I would rather deal with these people rather than anywhere else. Thank you Cody.
Is Paint Protection Film Worth the Drive from Troy?
Why film first
Stone chips come from the car in front, and Troy driving means plenty of I-75 and Big Beaver Road traffic. Chips cannot be polished out; they need touch-up or paint. Film is the one thing that stops them, which is why it is the job most worth an hour’s drive.
How much coverage
A bumper kit or partial front covers the areas hit most. A full front covers the whole hood and front fenders as well. Full-car coverage suits a new or high-value car you plan to keep. We will look at how you drive and suggest the coverage that makes sense, not the biggest one.
Plan one visit
Film, coating and tint can be booked together so you make the drive once. Ask about WaxOyl rust protection for the underside too, before salt season. Request a quote.
